you fill the negative space she leaves
so when she is distant, cold and uncommitted
you are present, warm and forever.
and when she is rude, cruel and unkind,
you are sweet, loving and kind.

I'm sorry to say
that you are the antithesis of her
in every single way.
And whilst this makes you
kind, committed and present,
sweet, warm and loving,
it also means that
you turn me off, bore me
and leave nothing to be desired.

And it would be nice
if she was kind, loving and sweet,
but there is no fun in that.
Or perhaps if you intrigued me,
made me wait or beg,
but you don't.
