curly hair

she said she'd left her hair to go curly these days and didn't straighten it anymore which made me feel sick for a number of reasons. one because she looked so beautiful when she had curly hair. two because having curly hair now meant that she was a confident person and no longer insecure like she was when she had been with me and three because it made me think of who she was now and I couldn't understand, which made me feel nauseous and gave everything I saw accidental vignetting and a high contrast filter. so my heart broke slightly again and there I was, still so in love with her and wishing to play with her ringlets in my bedroom, like I did the last time she let it curl.
