i was going to write about "Holiday Melancholy", but then i had a revelation. maybe it is just all melancholy, day to day melancholy, heartbreak melancholy, the melancholy that works its ways into all aspects of life, melancholy that leaves no man behind, completely without any connection to the holiday...
plus, holiday melancholy doesn't really make sense. it is, i think, practiced behaviour, something we have learnt to do.
